Our Leadership
Lance Wright
CEO
Lance Wright is a founding partner of CastleRock Communities and serves as CEO. Lance’s career in homebuilding began in Dallas, TX in 1985. Lance’s career path in homebuilding has included Construction Manager, Sales Consultant, Service, Project Manager, Division President, and Regional President for several National and Regional Homebuilders. Lance has been involved in single family, multifamily, midrise, and town home development throughout Texas, California, Washington, Oregon, DC. and Maryland. Lance earned his BBA in Business from UT and currently handles all operational aspects of CastleRock including sales, construction, purchasing, and marketing.
Kirk Breitenwischer
Senior Executive Vice President
Kirk Breitenwischer joined CastleRock Communities in 2006 as a partner and serves as Senior Executive Vice President. His responsibilities include analysis of potential land development projects, due diligence, contract negotiation for the acquisition of land and existing lots and coordination of closing activities. Kirk’s experience includes over 35 years in homebuilding and land development on a national basis. During his career he has worked with a large Texas Developer/Financial Institution and worked 16 years with a top 20 National Homebuilder, serving as its National Land Development President and a member of its Board of Directors. Kirk received his BBA in Finance from UT. He has been a member and/or has served in various real estate groups including the Urban Land Institute, the South Freeway Corridor Association and a Council Member for the City of Southside Place.
Daiwa House, publicly traded Japan-based predominant developer, construction and real estate global enterprise amassing homebuilding operations footprint in the United States, acquired interest in CastleRock Communities in 2021. Having one of the Fortune Global 500 list players investing in CastleRock has set the path for new land investment acquisitions for an ambitious growth over the near-term inthe U.S.

2004
With a passion for building high-quality new homes in premier, master-planned communities in Texas, President Greg Yakim, and Executive VP Lance Wright formed CastleRock Communities on April 1st.
2006
Kirk Breitenwischer joined as the VP of Land Development, and after prospering in the Houston market, CastleRock Communities expanded operations into San Antonio, Texas.
2006 - Present
Safety is at the core of everything we do, and CastleRock Communities is honored to have received Safety Awards since 2006.
2007
CastleRock Communities established CastleRock Renovations, which emphasized full-service remodeling, renovations, and custom home building in the Houston area.
2009
Two years later, CastleRock Communities expanded operations to another major city and the capital of Texas, Austin.
2013 - Present
In 2013, CastleRock Communities earned an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, a recognition that still applies to this day.
2014
Signifying the start of many record-breaking achievements for CastleRock, 1,000 new home closings were exceeded in one year for the first time. In the same year, CastleRock Communities surpassed 5,000 closings since the inception of the company.
2015
After years of new homes flourishing in three Texas markets, CastleRock Communities opened operations in Dallas, the highest-populated metroplex in Texas. CastleRock also created the deluxe luxury home product line, Mercury Luxury Homes, within the same year.
2019
In just 5 years, CastleRock Communities doubled its number of home closings, and exceeded over 10,000 closings since formation. This year also proved to be a record year for new home sales across all markets.
2020
With the housing market booming, CastleRock Communities accomplished another record year for new home sales in all markets with over 1,600 homes closing in a single year. Monumentally, CastleRock reached 13,000+ closings since 2004, and the number keeps growing daily!
2021
CastleRock Communities joined forces with Daiwa House Group, Japan’s largest homebuilder and one of the world’s largest companies, to expand to new markets across the country.
2023
After building new homes solely in Texas for 19 years, CastleRock Communities officially opened operations in Arizona, specifically the Phoenix and Prescott areas.
2024
Just a few months prior to its 20th anniversary milestone, CastleRock made the auspicious decision to inaugurate operations in Tennessee, placing a distinct emphasis on the bustling Nashville area.
